Dear Readers,

Lately family weddings have been on my mind because my grandkids are getting married. Two years ago Paul and Shannon married. Last fall, Charles and Rebecca had a beautiful farm wedding. This December, Amy and Anthony will have a holiday wedding, and next April Scott and Susan will have their ceremony.

I recently came across this picture of me taken just before my wedding to Ed Byars in June, 1950. My mother is helping me with my dress. This was probably the last picture taken of me when I was still Betsy Cromer. After that, I was – and always will be – Betsy Byars.
